SCHOOL GARDEN... - The garden is up and running and ready for its seasonal adventures. So far various classes have planted vegetables including potatoes, turnip, carrot, lettuce, peas and beans. Later more varieties will be added including sunflowers and courgettes. Fruit variesties have been in place since last year including strawberries, rasberries and currants. A bed of a dozen herbs brings the sense of smell to the area. Growth is alraedy evident and the various classes involved will follow the development and care needs of their vegetables, fruits or herbs. Other aspects include an insect hotel, bird feeders and stones to grow lichens upon. We invite you to come visit the garden with your child(ren) and sit in the peaceful and sensory filled opportunity it presents. - Caragh Community Website
